Grape paste with walnut -known Köme - is a traditional sausage-shaped candy. The main ingredients are grape molasses, nuts and flour. Walnuts are threaded onto a string, dipped in thickened grape juice and dried in the shape of a sausage. This process is repeated several times until it has the desired thickness and left to dry in the sun for 5-6 days.
It's popular in Georgia, Russia, Cyprus, Greece and Turkey where the main ingredients, grapes and nuts, are grown in abundance.
For centuries, “Köme” has been a source of pleasure of the Anatolian life. Now Ahla brings Köme to you by preserving its traditional style of preparation. Made by grape molasses and walnuts, Köme is also a rich source of vitamins and minerals such A, D, E and K.
